IOKASTE is the new chapter of The Workshop, a Greek handmade footwear workshop creating leather shoes since 1938.For decades, our workshop in Greece has been designing and crafting women's leather shoes by hand. Today, we continue this tradition through IOKASTE — a brand inspired by the same craftsmanship, quality, and attention to detail.Each pair is created in our own workshop in Greece, with every step of production carefully completed by us. Our shoes are not mass-produced or pre-assembled abroad; they are handcrafted from start to finish.During this transition, some orders may arrive with The Workshop branding on packaging and components, while our new collections carry the IOKASTE identity.The name is evolving.The hands behind the shoes remain the same.IOKASTE — Handmade by The Workshop since 1938.

Το IOKASTE είναι η νέα εξέλιξη του The Workshop, ενός ελληνικού εργαστηρίου χειροποίητων δερμάτινων παπουτσιών με ιστορία από το 1938.Για δεκαετίες δημιουργούμε γυναικεία δερμάτινα παπούτσια στο δικό μας εργαστήριο στην Ελλάδα. Σήμερα συνεχίζουμε αυτή την παράδοση μέσα από το IOKASTE, με την ίδια αγάπη για τη χειροποίητη κατασκευή και την ποιότητα.Κάθε ζευγάρι κατασκευάζεται από εμάς στην Ελλάδα, χωρίς μαζική παραγωγή ή έτοιμα εισαγόμενα προϊόντα.Κατά τη διάρκεια αυτής της μετάβασης, ορισμένες παραγγελίες ενδέχεται να φτάσουν με τη συσκευασία ή τα στοιχεία του The Workshop, ενώ οι νέες συλλογές θα φέρουν την ταυτότητα του IOKASTE.Το όνομα αλλάζει.Η παράδοση παραμένει.IOKASTE — Handmade by The Workshop since 1938.

In Greece, where generations of artisans have passed down the art of shoemaking, the name Hatzianastasiou has been connected with handmade footwear since 1938. The story began with our grandfather, Charilaos Hatzianastasiou, who founded the family's first shoe business in 1938. Through the decades, the tradition continued, carried forward by the next generations and shaped by the knowledge, dedication, and passion of our family.In 2013, Alexander Hatzianastasiou created The Workshop, a new chapter inspired by the same values that defined the family’s shoemaking journey: craftsmanship, quality, and attention to detail.
Today, IOKASTE represents the evolution of that legacy.
